The 2009 Jaguar XJ is the modern day version of what was known as the XJ6, which was stopped during the 3rd generation in 1986. The new XJ resembles the original XJ6 in many ways, keeping the saloon car styling alive.
The Jaguar XJ is available in six trims:
- XJ8 - 4.2L 300 HP
- XJ8L - 4.2L 300 HP
- Vanden Plas - 4.2L 300 HP
- XJR - Supercharged 4.2L V8 400 HP 413 lb-ft Torque
- Super V8 - Supercharged 4.2L V8 400 HP 413 lb-ft Torque
- Super V8 Portfolio - Supercharged 4.2L V8 400 HP 413 lb-ft Torque
All engines utilize a six speed automatic transmission.
