2010 ABY DHABI GP: GLORIOUS VETTEL EXPLAIN HIS FEELINGS

Deserved Champagne Bath!!!

Sebastian Vettel, 2010 WORLD CHAMPION:
"I'm speechless. I don't know what you are supposed to say in these moments, it has been an incredibly tough season for myself and all of us, physically and mentally. We always kept believing in ourselves - no matter what people said - in the team and in our car. I kept believing in myself and today was a special day all round. I got up this morning and tried not to think about anything; I tried to avoid contact with people and just tried to do my own thing. I knew all I could try to do was win this race and do my best.

We only led this Championship once this season, but it was when it mattered. The car was phenomenal today; the start was very tight with Lewis (Hamilton), and I had some graining in the first stint, but then the car stabilised and was a dream. To be honest, I didn't know anything until I passed the chequered flag. I was wondering, because my race engineer Rocky was trying to give me advice every lap to help me carry the car home and I was thinking 'Why's this guy so nervous, we must be in a bloody good position!' Then crossing the line he came on the radio and very silently said 'it's looking good, we have to wait until all the cars finish'. I was thinking 'what does he mean,' as I hadn't seen the screens - I just wanted to make sure I didn't get any distractions during the race and focused on myself. Then Christian came on the radio and screamed at me that we had won the World Championship.

I have to say thanks to so many people. To start with, the team: that's all the people here at the track and all the people in Milton Keynes - they are pushing like hell and I think they will be enjoying this moment as much as last week. Also everyone back in Austria, who has supported me from the beginning - it's been an incredible journey with Red Bull and, after all the ups and downs this season, to come here now and win the Championship is unbelievable. Thanks to everyone I have known from the early days in karting and those in my home town of Heppenheim to now, thank you so much."

2010 ABY DHABI GP: VETTEL WINNER OF MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS THIS SEASON

Will Vettel finnaly take World Champion Title!!!

Sebastian Vetel will start from pole in tomorrow's Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi, with most important rival Fernando Alonso on third and Mark Webber on fifth starting position. Germany won the 10-th pole of the season, but his team-mate Mark Webber will have difficult job to do on Sunday if he wants to win his first title. Lewis Hamilton great, will start with Vetel in the front row, but his incident with Massa at the end of Q2 is beeing considered and may be characterized as blocking Massa in a quick lap and could face penalty as a result of his actions.

Felipe Massa will start alongside Webber from the third row and the Brazilian is in an excellent position to try to pass Webber and thus help his teammate. Michael Schumacher enjoying a rare moment when he was in qualifying before team-mate Nico Rosberg. The duo of Mercedes Grand Prix will start from eighth and ninth position.

Everything is ready for a brilliant race tomorrow, with Alonso now in the best position to secure the title, if the race finished in that order of qualification.

2010 ABY DHABI GP: RESULTS FROM FRIDAY TRAININGS

If this was race results, Vettel would be smiling to World Champion Title

Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time of Friday's first practice session in Abu Dhabi. The Yas Marina track was damp at the beginning, following a surprise downpour this morning. The Red Bull driver set quickest time of 1:42.760 to top the timesheets from Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and team-mate Mark Webber. Championship leader Fernando Alonso finished the session sixth fastest ahead of Michael Schumacher's Mercedes, but not too much should be read into his lap times as he was likely running a heavy fuel load, with engine save mode turned on.

SECOND FREE TRAINING

Lewis Hamilton made it more dramatic

Lewis Hamilton set the quickest time of the second free practice in Abu Dhabi. The McLaren driver raised hopes that he might be able to compete for victory on Sunday by outpacing both Red Bulls and Fernando Alonso's Ferrari. Despite the sudden drop in temperature, the lap times from the first practice session improved as the track rubbered in, Hamilton set fastest time before his time was bettered by Alonso and Vettel. With soft tyres the order of the day, Hamilton then jumped to the top of the timesheets once again with a 1:40.888. It proved to be enough and it will be interesting to see if the McLaren man can throw a spanner in the works of the title favourites on Saturday.

However, the times at the top were slightly skewed by a yellow flag during the top drivers' hot laps and Webber and Vettel making mistakes on one of their runs. Alonso complained of oversteer on his fast laps, adding, "I don't know what we can do" over the team radio. If the opening practice session was something of a dull affair, the evening proved more eventful, Lewis Hamilton nearly colliding with Bruno Senna's HRT at the end of a flying lap. The incident is being investigated by the stewards but would most likely result in a monetary fine rather than a sporting penalty.

Adding to the drama, Jaime Alguersuari spun his Toro Rosso at turn 19, causing the yellow flag at a crucial time for his rivals and leaving his car stranded on the circuit. A few laps later Felipe Massa ground to a halt, his Ferrari running out of fuel possibly due to a pick-up problem.

2010 BRASIL GP: EASY 1-2 WIN FOR RED BULL

Vettel takes Webber`s Title?!?

Vettel wins the Brazilian Grand Prix ahead of Mark Webber. Alonso third, Hamilton fourth and Button fifth. Hamilton is still just in the title chase but Button drops out.The German took the lead at the start of the race and never allowed Red Bull team-mate Webber a look in. Webber's second place clinched the constructors' title for Red Bull, but Fernando Alonso's third limited his loss in the points table.

Pole winner Nico Hulkenberg's time in the sun was short-lived, as he was out-dragged to the first corner by Vettel and then demoted to third by Webber at Turn 4. It took Alonso another six laps to get by the Williams, thanks mainly to some skilled and spirited defence by Hulkenberg once he settled into the race. By the time Alonso had clear air he was seven seconds behind Webber, and even then lapping half a second slower. Hamilton was next in the queue to pass Hulkenberg and was stuck there for another eight laps, unable to make a move stick, until the Williams dived into the pits on lap 15. So Vettel and Webber were freed from the start right up and came to easy 1-2 win for Red Bull.

FIRST FREE PRACTICE
Webber Champion?!? No way, I`m going to be Champion.

Vettel set the fastest time of 1:12.328 on first free practice for Brasilian GP, finishing half a second ahead of his team-mate and the McLaren duo. German team made the most of a warm track conditions to rack up plenty of mileage in order to evaluate different set-ups. Much more was expected from Ferrari duo, but they were so reserved this morning, finishing to 13 and14 position.

Robert Kubica and Nico Rosberg were once again the best of the rest in fifth and sixth, with the session's early pace setters Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher seventh and eighth. The Saubers of Nick Heidfeld and Kamui Kobayashi rounded out the top 10, though the Japanese finished the session in the wall after spinning on his last lap.

SECOND FREE PRACTICE

Red Bull continued where it left off in the second session of free practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel once again topping the timesheets from team-mate Mark Webber. Webber was quarter of a second clear of championship leader Fernando Alonso, who was at least back at the sharp end of the time sheet following his engine problem in FP1.

Lewis Hamilton pronounced himself happy with the modifications McLaren has made to its floor and set the fourth quickest time, while team-mate Jenson Button was still complaining of a lack of rear grip and could only manage seventh.Felipe Massa set the fifth quickest time as both Ferraris vastly improved on their morning's pace, but the Brazilian's session ended half an hour early when he reported a problem with the clutch and stopped on the back straight. Robert Kubica was sixth, with Nick Heidfeld, Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher completing the top 10 behind Button.

2010 KOREAN GP: FERNANDO ALONSO WINS INAUGURAL YEONGHAM RACE

Lucky to be first

Fernando Alonso finished dramatic Korean Grand Prix on first place. I don`t know how much morning event (by Europian time) can be qualified as a Grand Prix race. From the beginning with start delay, start under safety car, lot of water on the track, Yongam race was struggle to stay on track and get to the finish line. Disastrous day for Red Bull, Mark Webber crash out of second and Sebastian Vettel had an engine failure while leading.

Lewis Hamilton made the most of Red Bull's misfortune to boost his title hopes with a second place finish ahead of Felipe Massa and Michael Schumacher. It means that Alonso now leads the drivers' standings from Webber by 11 points and Hamilton by 21 points, with Vettel dropping to fourth.

Happy Alonso say that this was best race ever for him: " I think that was one of the best races of the year for us and the team, both cars on the podium is a fantastic achievement for Ferrari. We're been competitive all weekend. Qualifying yesterday we saw a very strong car so we knew the race pace was there but with the weather conditions you never know. This morning was wet and we knew that it was a tricky race to finish and of course winning the race, I think my first wet race, means I'm even more happy."

Hamilton atypically calm: "Today we picked up some good points. It could have been better but if you look at the last four races we didn't pick up such good points. We have to make some improvements to the car as the qualifying pace is not good enough. We have some good things coming so it's not impossible. We will keep pushing and as you saw today anything can happen, we didn't expect two Red Bulls to go out but that is how close this championship is. Fernando is quick but it is still open."

Vettel not giving up on title: "There has been a little bit too much of it for us this season. Ups and down, everyone has had those, but I think we have had quite a lot in particular, but you can't change it. So we will keep our head down and keep doing what we were doing up to now. Just trying to get the best out of the car and I think in terms of speed there is nothing to improve. To be on top of the field all the time, controlling the race and looking after my tyres, I think there is nothing that we could have done better. So all in all I think we did a more or less perfect job."

Mark Webber say that title hunt is not finished: "Positions are not really important at the moment, the points are the important thing. They can change very quickly and this is my second non-finish of the year, but there are still two races to go and I will do my absolute best.
Today isn't my day. I got a wheel on the kerb on the exit of Turn 12 and it was a very slow motion moment off the back of it. Totally my mistake. It was a very long slide, frustrating. I thought I had done enough but in the end it wasn't enough. The wall obviously was close and did some damage and then I wrecked Nico's race as well. It brings me back to them on points and we are all back together again so we go to the final two races."

2010 KOREAN GP: RED BULL SECURED FRONT ROW

Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, Korean GPSebastian Vettel and Mark Webber secured Red Bull its second successive front row and its eighth of the season during qualifying for the inaugural Korean Grand Prix on Saturday. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was just 0.181 off Vettel's time and lost out in the twisty final sector of the lap where the Red Bulls were peerless. However, Alonso and McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, who qualified fourth, were considerably faster in the first sector, suggesting they will be able to attack Vettel and Webber at the start. Hamilton finished 0.5 seconds down on Vettel overall, as both McLarens struggled to maintain tyre temperature and failed to match the expectations they set in practice. Team-mate Button was seventh, behind Nico Rosberg and Felipe Massa on the grid, and will be relying on a good start to get into contention. Crucial to the start will be the side of the grid the drivers are on. The left hand side, where 2nd place and all the even numbers start from, has hardly been used and is expected to offer very little grip as the drivers pull away.

2010 KOREAN GP: RESULTS FROM FRIDAY SESSIONS

FIRST FREE PRACTICE

First free training was approached with great vigilance by all teams, first to examine the track, later by the end cars made some fast times. Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren car set the fastest time of the first free training of Korean Grand Prix. His car had new rear wing, and it seems that could be even faster, because it was four tenths faster than his time in the next lap, in the first sector, but he did not complete the lap. Robert Kubica again excellent with Renault. Seems to suit the fast tracks. It can be concluded that in the first sector fastest cars are those with good working F-duct system. Sebastian Vettel in fourth position, but with great traffic problems in the last sector, where the Red Bull car should be most fastest. Ferrari drivers poorly placed, but they tested versions of the car with and without F-duct system. From this results we can`t see who is fastest, and which car is not. We can say that McLaren should be good on this track.

SECOND FREE PRACTICE

Championship leader, Mark Webber, had the fastest pace in the second training, and set the best time today in Yeongam, ahead of his title rivals, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. Champion Jenson Button was fifth, while team-mate of Webber, Sebastian Vetel was 1.2 seconds slower and placed on the seventh position.

The conditions of the track was constantly improving during the session, so it is difficult to "read" the form of drivers.(Webber set the fastest time in the last minutes of session, while Vetel went out first with the soft tires, which cost him some speed). There was lot of traffic in the final sector, and lot of attempts to set a fast time ruined. But the pace of Webber looks real and he had good times and with hard tyres, often so fast as his rivals on the soft tires. Early indications suggest that McLaren has the advantage in a fast first sector, although Robert Kubica was far fastest in that sector. All teams had problems with the tyre degradation on longer stints.

2010 KOREAN GP: MCLAREN DRIVERS NOT GIVING UP

McLaren drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton insist the title is still not beyond them despite the margin of the gap between themselves and championship leader Mark Webber.

Lewis Hamilton:
"This weekend hopefully we will have a little bit more of a fighting chance against the Red Bulls and Ferrari and hopefully a bit more fortunate as well. I think anything is possible and you can tell that us as a team and Ferrari are pushing very hard, I don't think the gap to Red Bull is that big, we have outqualified them in one race maybe, but I think we can close the gap okay."

Jenson Button:
"Every time we go to a race it seems this is the critical race, but it is obviously a lot more difficult for us to win the world championship this year. But we've seen in past seasons that anything is possible, we've all had failures this year and issues, so it is definitely still possible after this event if it is mathematically possible. It's good to still be involved in the title hunt with three races to go. It's more difficult for me as I am 31 points behind but there is still a possibility and I am hopeful. It will be mixed up, if we look at the last few races, Ferrari and RBR had legs on us a little bit but the next three should be closer and that will make an exciting fight until the end of the season."

2010 SINGAPORE GP: ALONSO WINS AGAIN

Fernando Alonso made it again

Fernando Alonso wins again at the Singapore Grand Prix, his second win, which reduced Mark Webber's lead at the top of the drivers' championship to 11 points with four grands prix remaining. With only 25 points separating the top five, this season is going to be most interesting one. The Spaniard saw off a late challenge from Sebastian Vettel to take the win.Alonso's win proved to the relatively straightforward, as although Vettel was never far behind him, nor was he ever really close enough to mount a serious challenge. The pair held their positions after pitting on the same lap, and the it was only on the final lap that Vettel managed to get close enough to think about having a look.

As well as keeping Alonso in the title hunt, the race dealt another blow to the hopes of Lewis Hamilton, who failed to finish for the second race in a row. Team-mate Jenson Button salvaged something for McLaren by finishing fourth. Webber's third place is result to a tyre gamble when the safety car came out on lap three to remove Tonio Liuzzi's stricken Force India from the circuit, and also managing to come out undemaged after collision with Hamilton.

2010 SINGAPORE GP: ALONSO IMPRESSIVLY ON POLE POZITION

Fernando Alonso secured his second pole position in a row with a fully committed lap of the Singapore street circuit to line up ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton on Sunday's grid. While Ferrari celebrated Alonso's success, it was a very different story for team-mate Felipe Massa, who will start from the back of the grid following a suspected engine problem during Q1. McLaren locked out the second row, with Lewis Hamilton taking third ahead of Jenson Button, leaving championship leader Mark Webber a disappointed fifth alongside the Williams of Rubens Barrichello. The Brazilian's team-mate Nico Hulkenberg fell just shy of making it through to Q1 and finished 12th fastest behind Sebastien Buemi, although he will start from 17th due to a five-place grid penalty.

Mercedes got both its cars into the top 10, with Nico Rosberg seventh and Michael Schumacher ninth, the pair bookending Renault's Robert Kubica, and Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi rounded out the top 10.Massa was not the only driver whose session was compromised by problems. Vitaly Petrov's hopes of cracking Q1 were ended when he spun and broke his right-rear suspension against the barriers during Q2, although he was still in with a shot of remaining in the top 10 before his time was finally overhauled by Buemi and Hulkenberg in the last couple of minutes.

Virgin won bragging rights in the battle of the new teams when Timo Glock took 18th, with a late push from Lotus' Heikki Kovalainen allowing the Finn to get ahead of Lucas di Grassi. Jarno Trulli was 18th ahead of F1 returnee Christian Klien, who left his HRT team-mate Bruno Senna to join Massa on the back row.

2010 SINGAPORE GP: WEBBER QUICK ON FP1

FIRST FREE PRACTICE

Mark Webber set the pace during the first practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix, but the results were more or less irrelevant as a damp track played havoc with the teams' plans. One important piece of information that the drivers learned was that the Marina Bay track takes a long time to dry without sunlight hitting it.Rain hit the circuit about an hour before the first session was set to begin and the humid conditions and setting sun meant the track stayed damp throughout. All 24 cars put in an early installation lap but it was then up to the bravest to head out on the treacherous tracks. All the top teams were focusing on testing new parts, but the wet weather meant that any data gathered was fairly meaningless. As a result the title contenders stayed in the pits while Ferrari's Felipe Massa acted as a barometer for track conditions by putting in lap after lap on intermediate tyres until his times dropped off. The other two factors in consideration were preserving tyres and engines. With only four sets of intermediate tyres allocated for the whole weekend, all the drivers were cautious about burning up a set with more thunderstorms forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

SECOND FREE PRACTICE

Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber sent a warning to Red Bull's rivals by giving their team a commanding one-two in second practice for the Singapore Grand Prix. Once up to speed, Vettel dominated much of the session, and went o fastest ahead of early pace setter Fernando Alonso. However, Red Bull might not have it all their own way as Fernando Alonso looked capable of matching Vettel before he ran wide at turn 18 on a hot lap. As he attempted to reverse back onto the track his car stalled, bringing an immediate end to his session. Despite the problem he still set the fourth fastest time while on hard tyres, suggesting there is more to come from Ferrari on Saturday.
McLaren's pace was not as promising as neither Button nor Lewis Hamilton could get within a second of Vettel. It was not for lack of trying as both McLaren drivers attacked the street circuit throughout the session. But while Button looked quick at times, Hamilton only lit up the odd sector time and did not hook up a brilliant lap.

2010 ITALIAN GP: ALONSO WINS MONZA, GREAT DAY FOR TIFOSI

Fernando Alonso sent the Tifosi wild by winning his first Italian Grand Prix for Ferrari from Jenson Button and team-mate Felipe Massa after taking the lead in the pit stops.

Alonso had to bide his time after losing his pole advantage to Button into the first corner, the McLaren driver making a fantastic start from second on the grid. If Button was delighted with his start, the same could not be said of team-mate Lewis Hamilton who got it all wrong in an ambitious move on Felipe Massa, contact with the Ferrari leading to a broken steering arm and his immediate retirement.
