NEW TESTING RULES

F1 teams reached agreеment to tweak regulations about testing in promotional and marketing purposes. With this agreement is forbiden to test new part on cars during this days. This ban comes after Ferrari recently used this lack of regulations for testing new exhaust system. Before it was done in the Mercedes GP team to promote the new design for the cover over the engine.

These tests have caused concern among rival teams, and teams in the last few weeks was trying to determine regulations in this area, to prevent gain of benefits by some teams. McLaren team
director, Martin Withmarsh confirm this, and is happy that now everyone knows what is and what is not allowed.

"I personally did not feel there was any ambiguity, but others argued that there was," he said. "But that is pressure, and when people are under pressure they try and take a different view. Now everything is clear."

2010 BRITISH GP: WEBBER WINS NEW SILVERSTONE

Mark Webber put his disappointment of yesterday behind him with a barnstorming performance to win the British Grand Prix, dominating from the moment he beat team-mate Sebastian Vettel into the first corner. The gap between him and second-place Lewis Hamilton was five seconds, but had it not been for a safety-car period it would have been far bigger.

Polesitter Sebastian Vettel's chances of victory were ruined by a first-lap puncture, although he recovered to seventh, and there was further controversy over stewarding decisions after a contentious penalty for Fernando Alonso left the Ferrari outside the points.

Webber made a much better start than his team-mate and reached Copse first, despite Vettel's best efforts to squeeze him. Vettel then lurched off the road at Becketts with a right rear puncture, potentially the result of a slight touch from Hamilton's McLaren at the first corner.

Another controversial race for Ferrari, with both cars without points. Massa race was destroyed by Alonso on the start when there was contact between them, and Brazilian left with puncture. The penalty for Fernando Alonso left Ferrari outside the points.

2010 BRITISH GP: VETTEL IMPRESIVE ON POLE, FRONT ROW FOR RED BULL

Red Bull continued its domination of the British Grand Prix weekend as Sebastian Vettel led Mark Webber in a seemingly easy front row sweep. And while Red Bull proved unstoppable, its main title rival McLaren had a very tough session with Lewis Hamilton fourth and Jenson Button a disastrous 14th.

The biggest surprise in Q2 is that the world champion in 2009 failed to be placed in the third qualification session with the McLaren car. He finished 14th position. The battle for top was among the Red Bull duo, this time with Mark Webber at the top. Surprisingly performance of Schumacher, from 15th place in Q1, placed 5th, improvement of 10 places. Success for Barrichello and de la Rosa, with the placing in the top 10th

As expected in Q1 three new teams occupy last 6 positions, joined by Jamie Alguersuari, with the Toro Rosso on 18-th. Wind was causing problems to drivers, Hamilton told his team that the wind changes its direction very often. The wind was blowing with 6 m/s.
